Contest--Do you know?

Have you noticed the new blog banner? Can you read the text on the foreground and the background? What does the foreground text say? How much of the background text can you read? From where in Paul's letters does this text come? We would love to read your responses.

We will be back at blogging soon.

Rom 10:4 (for Christ is the telos of the law) in big, with text from the first few verses of Rom 10 in the background.

Your question is easrier than the one that comes to my mind, however: what does it all mean?!

Congratulations!

I wish I could give you a great prize.

Instead, I think that we get the reward of knowing that real scholars are reading our blog.

Thanks for visiting. Soon we will write some more entries.

By the way, the Greek script is a digital reproduction of the main script found in the Vaticanus MS. I purchased the font from Linguist's Software.

I'm just trying to learn some Greek on my own. I have a tutorial on my computer, but I don't get it. I'm going to have to go back to school.
